When she’s not thumbing through wallpaper books or contemplating a bathroom reno, Michelle is a Real Estate agent, but prefers to be called a story teller. With nearly two decades of experience in strategic marketing communications and a lifelong passion for interior design, she became a Realtor to help home buyers see the potential story that might unfold in an overlooked property, and to help home sellers tell their story with the right staging and marketing – so they can move on to their next chapter.
Michelle understands a home is one’s most important investment and should be a place of refuge that evokes joy and energy. Her philosophy as a Real Estate agent is that buying a home isn’t about the next step up, but the next right step.
“Whether you need 700 square feet or seven thousand, don’t let fear keep you from making the move that might change your life. If walking in the door of your home doesn’t make your heart smile, then let’s figure out how to fix that.”
While many find the process of acquiring property overwhelming, Michelle loves every moment from the hunt to the closing table. In her early twenties, while building a successful career in public relations, she bought her own tiny fixer-upper. More residences and rehabs followed. From East Dallas to Plano, she learned to negotiate, look for red flags and find the best contractors. Eventually, a real estate license just made sense. Among friends and family, she is always counted on as a source of sound advice and knowledge for all dwelling challenges.
Born and raised in Lubbock, she has a B.S. in Journalism, Public Relations sequence, from the University of North Texas. She loves her life in Plano with her husband and two boys, and knows every nook and cranny of Collin County by heart. Always thinking about new paint colors, her husband isn’t fazed when Michelle begins a conversation with, “So I’ve been looking at houses.”
Look to Michelle to help you make the next right step, and be the expert with sound judgment on your side. Backed by one of the most respected real estate teams in Dallas, Britt Lopez and the East Dallas Real Estate Group and Paragon Realtors, she brings unparalleled knowledge to every transaction. Let Michelle tell your next story.
